- This event is an **“Offline Event”**. Both Player should be present at the venue.
- Both player of a team must be available, at least 15 minutes, in the event venue before the match is scheduled to begin. Venue will be notified during the tournament.

- Grenade can use to kill opponent. 
- No Slide is allowed.
- If the score is tied, a rematch will be conducted.
- If any rules are not followed, the team will be disqualified.
- Both players need to record their match and submit it if they want to claim any issue or unfair gameplay done by opponents. The coordinating team will look into it and take appropriate action.
- No sharing of accounts between players. 
- Players are expected to use a single account for each player.
- Failure of the entire team to show up on time will lead to disqualification of the team. 
- Cheating in any form (including exploiting bugs) will not be tolerated and will lead to the disqualifying of the entire team from the event. Team captains must send a screenshot of the final scorecard to the coordinator at the end of the match, for future reference.
- In case of any changes in the schedule of matches, team captains will be informed. 
- The coordinator will let the Team Captain know regarding match fixtures, tournament     schedules and other update regarding further stages of the tournament. 
- You should bring your own mobile and charger.

- The top 3 teams will be shortlisted for the final round.
- If there is a tie, 3 more questions will be asked to the respective teams to break the tie.

**Round 3: Buzzer Round**
- In this round, the first, second and third teams will be determined.
- There will be 5 questions which be asked orally by the coordinators.
- Whoever presses the buzzer first will get the chance to answer the question, if they get it wrong, the next team which pressed the buzzer will get the chance to answer.
- If none of the teams press the buzzer, the question will be skipped.
- If there is a tie, 1 more question will be asked.

- **The Team size can be a maximum of 2.**
- All the detailed Rules and Regulation will be explained on the Event Day.

- Structure should have a PARTICULAR THEME. The captain of the team should explain their theme to the judges within 30 seconds while evaluation. 
- MAXIMUM HEIGHT, not with the same cross-sectional area, gets more points. 
- NO SPIRAL COLUMNS. 
- Time limit: 15 MINUTES. 
- Number of bricks: 150. 
- The Evaluation criteria will consist of 10 points based on some parameters.

**Round 2:**
- A video will be played for 2 MINUTES.
- Only ONE PARTICIPANT from each team is allowed to watch the video.
- The participant who has watched the video is NOT ALLOWED TO CROSS A PARTICULAR LINE; he/she should just direct his/her team to construct the replica of the structure shown in the video.
- If the participant crosses that line or the team is copying from others, they WILL BE STOPPED from constructing for the NEXT 1 MINUTE.
- Time limit: 20MINUTES.
- The Evaluation criteria will consist of 10 points based on some parameters.

**Round 3:**
- Two layers from the ground should have FLEMISH BOND 
on the facing side
- THEME: HISTORICAL MONUMENT. 
- Captain of the team should explain their theme to the judges within 30 SECONDS while evaluation. 
- PYRAMID like structure are not allowed. 
- Number of bricks: 800. 
- UTILIZATION OF 500 BRICKS IS MANDATORY. 
- Time limit: 30 MINUTES. 
- After every 10 MINUTES, A PARTICIPANT from each team WILL BE REMOVED as per event coordinator’s choice. 
- The Evaluation criteria will consist of 10 points based on some parameters.

### General Rules 
- **A team should have a MINIMUM OF 2 AND MAXIMUM OF 3 MEMBERS.**  
- The event consists of THREE ROUNDS.
- ELIMINATIONS will be conducted ROUND WISE.

PROTOTYPE BAND

### About
> Pass the baton to success: Master the art of relay coding and bring your team to the finish line!

Relay coding is a type of programming competition where multiple participants work together to complete a series of programming tasks or challenges. Unlike individual coding competitions, relay coding events involve teams of programmers who take turns solving problems, with each person working on one task before passing the baton to the next team member. The goal is to complete all tasks as quickly as possible, with the winning team being the one that finishes first.

**Cash Prize worth Rs. 5k**

### Format
It is a coding challenge. **Participants come in teams of 3.** You will be given a question per team, the team has to code it. But each team member will be given time of 20 mins. The first member can code for the first 20 mins, and then he has to come out of the lab. The second member can then go in and continue the code where the first member has left off, for another 20 mins. Then he has to go out. The third member comes in and continues the same code. If within 1 hour, the code is completed, you can submit else team member 1 again comes in for 20 mins, and it continues till 3 members complete the code. 

### Rules
- Participants are not allowed to use mobile phones and the internet while they are coding.
- The winner will be decided based on whichever team completes the code first, if 2 teams complete it at the same time, the efficiency (time complexity) of the code will be taken into account to decide the winner.
- Team size - 3 members.
- The maximum time limit is 2 hours, that is, each team member will get to code twice.
- If no participant is able to complete all tasks within the allotted time, the winners will be determined based on the number of test cases passed by the team.

Relay Coding

Build a manually controlled or an automated robot capable of playing soccer-traverse the arena, avoiding collisions from obstacles, moving the ball, pushing the ball towards the goal etc within the allotted time.

### Format
A Round-Robin Tournament among the Teams.

### General Rules
- **A team can have the maximum number of 4 members.** 
- A team is allowed to play with only one Robot. 
- Decision of Organizers shall be treated as Final and Participants shall bind on it.

- The Actual Arena will be displayed only at the time of Event.  - The Bot shouldn't have any part that might hold the Ball or can be used to grab the Ball.

- The Wire attached to the Bot shall not disturb the Arena or cause any inconveniences. 
- Unfair Play shall be viewed strictly.
- The Technical Fault shall be rectified within 3 minutes, otherwise the team cant continue.
- Any changes in the specified power and weight leads to disqualification.
- Any participant who argues with judges and violates the above rules is liable for disqualification.

### Bot Specification
- Dimension Limit: 30cm x 30cm x 30cm and Weight Limit: 5kg
- The BOT can be both Wired or Wirelessly controlled. Preferably, it should be Wired.
- For Wireless Bots, the frequency of the Remote Controller shall not interfere with others. Recommended having 2 different Frequencies.
- The max potential difference between any two points in the Bot shall be less than 12V DC (For Safety Purposes).


RoBo Soccer

> Bring your powerful Robots here ready to battle as you'll pit against other competing robots in one on one knockout matches!

Something similar to sumo slammer, except that it is your bot that is going to bleed. Gather yourself up, but don't go easy on the other bots, cause you either win or you get knocked out. The Event mainly focuses on testing the strength of the robots. This event also tests your stability, control, handling and your techniques in competing with your opponent. 

Two robots will be in the ring at the same time, and the objective is to push the other robot inside the pit or outside the arena. The robot which scores highest points wins.

RoBo Sumo

Described as "soccer, but with rocket-powered cars", Rocket League has up to eight players assigned to each of the two teams, using rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent's goal and score points over the course of a match. The game includes single-player and multiplayer modes that can be played both locally and online, including cross-platform play between all versions. Later updates for the game enabled the ability to modify core rules and added new game modes, including ones based on ice hockey and basketball.

### Rules
- TEAMS: **16** (*Spots are “LIMITED”*)
- TOURNAMENT TYPE: **Knockout**
- GAMING TEAM TYPE: **DUO**
- This event is an **“Online Event”**. 
- All settings are set to default with a respawn time of 3 seconds.
- Both players of a team must be available, at least 15 minutes in the game before the match is scheduled to begin.
- Games will be five minutes in length, whichever team has the most goals at the end of the game is the winner. If  tied after five minutes, the games will be immediately determined by sudden death overtime.
- Players are strongly discouraged from quitting out of matches during play. If a participant intentionally disconnects from the game and is not able to reconnect to the game, then a loss will be given to the player. This loss will be recorded as a forfeit.
- Both players need to record their match and submit it if they want to claim any issue or unfair gameplay done by opponents. The coordinating team will look into it and take appropriate action.
- No sharing of accounts between players. 
- Players are expected to use a single account for each player.
- Failure of the entire team to show up on time will lead to disqualification of the team. 
- Cheating in any form (including exploiting bugs) will not be tolerated and will lead to the disqualifying of the entire team from the event. Team captains must send a screenshot of the final scorecard to the coordinator at the end of the match, for future reference.
- In case of any changes in the schedule of matches, team captains will be informed. 
- The coordinator will let the Team Captain know regarding match fixtures, tournament schedules and other update regarding further stages of the tournament.               

### Arena/Map
All games will be played on DFH stadium only except the finals.

- It will be Knockout Format a tournament.
- Finals will be played for best of three.


Rocket League

Students from various schools in and around Karaikal will be participating and presenting their projects in this Expo. So, we request students from your esteemed institution to take part in the Expo. 

### Rules
- Participants are expected to present their innovative working models/prototypes and posters on the day of the event.
- Students from 6th to 12th classes are eligible to participate in the poster/project presentation. 
- **There can be a maximum of 3 participants per team for the poster/project presentation.**
- Each team will get 10 minutes to present their work in the form of posters of A1 size (59× 84) cm. The content of the posters should be in the following manner:
   1. Introduction of the work
   2. Objective of the work
   3. Description of the work
   4. Outcomes of the work
- Use eco-friendly materials for the preparation of exhibits.

Science Expo

### About
> Hold On Tight: Exploring the Limits of Engineering with a Shake it!

Each team will be given the required materials to build structures to construct a highly stable structure with a design of their choice that satisfies the given criteria under the given time. This structure will then be tested on a shake table and evaluated. The most creative team will be selected for the subsequent rounds.

**Cash Prize worth Rs. 5k**

### Format
**Round 1: 45 minutes**
- 40 one feet sticks will be provided per team.
- Minimum height of the structure should be 3 feet.
- Minimum number of cross bracing should be provided.
- The structure should contain maximum 4 columns only.
- The structure will be tested on the shake table for minimum 1 minute.
*General Criteria*:
- Plywood base provided should be used for both first and second rounds.
- The columns provided in the first round should be used again in the second.
- A4 sheet, hacksaw, hammer, nails, nail remover, pencil will be provided to the participants.

**Round 2: 90 minutes**
- 10 two feet sticks and 50 one feet sticks will be provided per team.
- Minimum height of the structure should be 5 feet.
- Minimum base area should be 1X1 feet.
- The structure should contain maximum 6 columns only.
- The structure will be tested on the shake table for minimum 1 minute.
- Weight will be hanged on top of the structure and tested for minimum 1 minute.
- The contestants should provide a provision on top of the structure to hang the weight. The weight will only be hanged on top of the structure.
*General criteria*:
- Plywood base provided should be used for both first and second rounds.
- The columns provided in the first round should be used again in the second.
- A4 sheet, hacksaw, hammer, nails, nail remover, pencil will be provided to the participants.

### Rules
- It is a group event.
- A team may consist of **3–4 members**.
- Participants must report at the venue at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the event.
- Contestants who come late will not be given extra time.
- Mobile phone or any other electronic gadgets should be switched off/in silent mode during the event.
- Event will be of 3 rounds.
- Each round will have different criteria that will be announced on the spot.
- Teams who do not follow the rules will be disqualified.
- Participants must not communicate or disturb another team during the event.
- The constructed structure will be tested and evaluated by judges and the best teams will be promoted to next round.
- The most creative and talented team will be awarded.
- If any tie is there between teams, special round will be conducted.
- Competition head/coordinator has the right to disqualify any team in any case.
- Judge’s decision is final.

Shake it!

> Have you ever wonder Electronics Events can be Fun?? Come just us with us on this Exciting Event!

The Participants have to identify the correct circuit and there will be 3 options for each question and 3 balloons, participants have to shoot the correct balloon with the Air Gun.

### Format:
Total levels: 5. Each level is having one question and the difficulty of the question will be increased as we go for higher levels in the Shooting Course. The questions will be changed for each participant.

### Selection of Winners
Each participant will be given certain amount of time and the one who reaches the highest level with less time were noted and top 3 will be awarded at the end of the day.

### Rules
- Participants have to complete the Course in the mentioned Time Limit.
- Only 1 Shoot is allowed per level. Under any circumstances, this cant be violated.
- Participants have to be careful with Air Guns, any misusage of the Air Guns will directly result into immediate disqualification.

- The event is a team event and each team consists of **2 persons**.
- The event will follow a multiple round format.
-  Based on the performances in each round, teams will be eliminated.
- The first round is a multiple choice question round. A few teams will be selected for the next rounds according to their performance.
- The further rounds will follow an interaction-based quiz round.
- After all the rounds are concluded, top 2 teams based on the performances will be selected for the final showdown.

### Format
- Each team must consist of **2 members**.
- Participants must build a boat using the limited number of Lego Bricks.
- Teams will have a designated amount of time to build their boats.
- Boats will be tested for stability by placing them in the water for 3 minutes.
- Prize will be awarded to the winners selected based on the judging criteria.

### Judging Criterion
1. **Height**: This is the main criteria where height of the boat, measured from the bottom of the boat to the highest point, will be evaluated. 
2. **Stability**: The boat's stability will be evaluated based on its ability to remain upright and afloat for at least 3 minutes without sinking.
3. **Originality**: The originality and creativity of the boat design will be evaluated. This will include factors such as the use of unique building techniques, unusual shapes, and imaginative details.

### Rules
- Teams may not use any additional materials or tools beyond the Lego bricks provided.
- Teams must complete their boats within the 2-hour time limit.
- Teams must create their own designs and may not copy the designs of other contestants.
- The judging criteria include stability, originality, height, teamwork, and sportsmanship. 
- Points will be awarded based on the judges' evaluation of each criterion.
- In the case of a tie, the team with the tallest boat will be declared the winner.

The Metacentre Madness

> A Challenge for the Coders and the Treasure for the Winner!

A Treasure hunt coding competition is a contest where participants solve a series of algorithmic problems or puzzles to find the "Treasure". It tests participant's problem-solving, coding skills as well as teamwork.

**Cash Prize worth Rs. 7k**

### Format
- Teams compete against each other to arise on top, to snatch the treasure.
- **Team size – 3 people per team**.
- Team composition
    - **1 CODER** (the person has to code and cannot leave the lab in any case) 
    - **2 RUNNERs** (one runner can act as a communicator with the code, they would be solving the hints and riddles to progress to the next round) 
- The event consists of 3 rounds, each becoming progressively harder.
- Round 1 consists of 2 easy level coding questions.
- Round 2 consists of 1 easy and 1 medium level coding questions.
- Round 3 consists of 1 medium/hard level coding question.

### Rules
- If two or more participants tie by solving round 3 questions, their rankings will be determined by their completion time.
- Each round would consist of elimination, around 50% of the strength in every round would get eliminated.
- Teams completing the rounds first would secure a seat in the next round.
- Between each round, there would be small riddles for the Teams to compete and to move forward.
- Failing to solve the riddles before other teams would lead to elimination.
